Test Shot Articulation Breakdown

Test Shot is here from the factoy and we are extremely happy with it! Video above goes over the articulation and addresses some of the notes we have given the factory to address. Next mold sample will be in mold colors and even paint so we’re excited for that update.

Chinese New Year is here and we’ve heard from a few people that they are disappointed we haven’t addressed our timetable being changed. We thought our weekly updates showing you all exactly where we are in production was being completely transparent but we understand the criticism. You want your figures now not later. So do we. So no more predictions because we are not good at it and instead just going along with the process. Molds are made, test shots are done, EP and FEPs are next and our factory moves fast. Just ask Unparalleled Universe how fast from test shot to production his Odious went out. 

Backerkit! All criticism for the delay in that is valid. We have a zoom meeting with the our backerkit representative Tuesday to guide us through the process as we have so many SKUs and the late pledge option KS has doubled that. So the issue is ensuring those who backed during the KS get that reduced price and those who did later get that price. Plan has always been to not send it until we were in production and had more renders done of all characters but it’s time to get it done. Thank you all for your patience and support! Waiting sucks and no one wants to hear excuses just see results. We understand. Let’s Get Brutal!

More updates from the factory

 First of the butterfly joints are pulled out to show range as always remember they go further in for your desired look and pose.

 These are screenshots from the video the factory sent me of the 2nd test shot. We’ll be posting it tomorrow on social media. UPDATE: posting it right now in our Facebook Brutal Realm Collectors group. They tightened up joints mostly from the first test shot everything else seems to be good. Also we should be getting it in the mail by tomorrow as well and I’ll shoot video of hopefully a more comprehensive articulation check. As well as check it against our prototypes and designs for any notes to give.

We’re gearing up for our first convention of the year at Toylanta with a new diorama called the Lion’s Den. It’s almost done printing with our friends at True Legacy Design who famously made a 1:12 Castle Grayskull and the Thundercats statues for Toy Federation. 

Lastly we were going to use the built in  pledge manager from Kickstarter to take the place of backerkit as it seemed more seamless but we were wrong. Complications after complications as well as not having as many features have had us switch to backerkit which everyone already is familiar with so sorry for the delay again. But it’s coming! Let’s get Brutal!

Factory, Female, and Brutal Beast Updates

Backer survey is coming through Kickstarter didn’t want to do it on the first of the month, when everyone is paying bills, just in case you all want to add more to your orders. Especially the convention exclusive Cro-Magnon. So next week is the date to send it out. Probably Sunday with our KS update. Below photos from the video the factory sent us of the very first official Test shot. Test shots always use whatever plastic they have around and we were lucky enough to get chrome for our first and we’re happy with how everything looks initially just need to tighten some things up. We’re getting there guys! Thank you for your patience as everything is going well.  

We will post the actual video on Instagram/Facebook/Threads tomorrow for Brutal Monday.

Below some conceptual designs for the Barbarian top and loincloth for the female barbarian warriors. The final design will be different of course but this is the direction we wanted to share and get y’all’s feedback.

 And that brings us to some quick designs we had our main man Orobus do to give everyone a little better idea of the Brutal Beasts. There is a LOT missing from what the final designs will be for them such as a fur overlay around the neck for Werewolf and Panther, tails for all, much larger hands and feet (for monkey King) with claws for Werewolf and Panther, and we might even change the proportions slightly since this will be a new mold because of the fur. Regardless we’re happy with the base design as it will only get better and hope you like this better look at them as well. Be patient we’ll get it right!

 We really appreciate all of the kind words and support, it’s been great as we near this first crossing of essentially this triathlon to get all these characters made and shipped to you. Let’s get Brutal!

Athena Update

First and foremost let’s talk about the most important thing and that’s production. We’ve got more pictures from the factory of the test shots they’re producing to ensure the molds are accurate and the figures are coming out in good quality. Soon we’ll have one in hand and show pics of that. 

Finished the redesign in Kronen’s Sword which the original design everyone still seemed to like except us but we’re happy that we changed it. We think it’s a lot more dynamic and slightly larger as Kronen should have. Should be able to grabbed with both hands. The inscription on the sword blade are Nordic runes.

 Last but not least the female body is almost finished. Added a lot more musculature and detail. Butterfly joints and knees have yet to be completed but we’re extremely happy with the progress. Might bulk up her biceps and triceps slightly more as well. What do you all think?

We have Molds!!!

Just wanted to share with everyone how real our progress is as this is a monumental step. More molds have been created than just these but wanted to give you all, who made this possible, a glimpse as to what everything entails. We’re pushing hard to gets figures on the water as soon as possible and appreciate greatly everyone’s patience and understanding. We’re so excited to be pumping hot plastic, for more than just test shots, soon. As we’ve stated the backer survey/kit will be going out soon now that the molds are made as we wanted everyone to feel secure about their investment into us. An additional character Cro-Magnon our convention exclusive this year will also be made available to you all to order first at a discounted price as a thank you as always for making this all real.

We’re changing Kronen’s sword as it just never felt dynamic enough and we hope you all like the change. The design on the left is the conceptual design and the old design on the right. The nonsensical engraving running down the blade will be replaced with Nordic rune symbols as well. We feel it now truly resembles the Sword of the Future Barbarian King. 

Check out the ass on her! As we said in the last update proportion, definition, and design changes were still in the works for Athena and even after this update we still have more to do but we wanted to show you what has been done so far both in her chest and posterior. More changes to come especially in musculature definition. Headsculpt design is also being reworked. Hopefully we will have another update next week. That’s all the updates for this week.
